Records for Joy Vivienne show on this site, but without a sub I can't see the details:

https://tinyurl.com/rzkqwsn

Interesting - the source of some of the entries is given as "Titres, homologations et services pour faits de résistance "

Translation and explanation of that - it sounds as if she was in the Resistance in WW2:

https://tinyurl.com/yjr4h4mg
Titles, approvals and services for resistance events
With nearly 600,000 names, the database lists individual files drawn up by various administrations responsible, at the end of the Second World War, for identifying, approving or recognizing services rendered for acts of resistance.

EDIT:
But not necessarily. That page goes on to say -

"the mention of an individual in the database does not presume his quality as resistant because the corpus contains all the files opened by the services, including those of individuals who, after examination, have not been recognized or approved for resistance."

However, it does presumably mean she was in France during the war.

Just out of interest - where did you find that, Ian?

Might be useful to know for other searches.

For a death registered in France, a woman would be listed in her maiden name, even if she had been married.

ErikaH

So, no point in anyone looking for a marriage

Angela was baptised on 30th May, which makes an April birthdate seem very likely

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 29 Jan 2020 21:19

Are you sure about the 1939 record of Angela, Rose?

I can't see the marriage of any Angela to a Pilcher or Pelcher, nor of an Angela to a Lithgow or variation.

EDIT:
There's this one:

Marriages Sep 1957 (>99%)
LITHGOW William J PILCHER Penzance 7a 243
PILCHER Mary A LITHGOW Penzance 7a 243

On the other hand, can't see birth of an Angela (or Mary) Pilcher or Pelcher in 1913-4 either.

Death of Angela Lithgow:

Angela Mary Lithgow
in the England & Wales, Civil Registration Death Index, 1916-2007
Name: Angela Mary Lithgow
Death Age: 75
Birth Date: 13 Apr 1913
Registration Date: May 1988
Registration district: Winchester
Inferred County: Hampshire
Volume: 20
Page: 1826

Angela Pryce's birth was registered in Sept qr 1913, so presumably she isn't the same person
