I'm trying to find when Hebert and Bessie Scarr went to Western Australia.
I know they were married in Bury in 1918 but I have no more information about when they would have sailed.
I assume as they lived near Perth they would have sailed into a Western Australian port.
I think I found a daughter Alice J Scarr born 1919 in Bury, but she married here in 1941 to a George Winn, so I don't suppose they would have left before that although they may have done.
I hope someone can help, unfortunately anyone who would have known is no longer with us.

I was told they had a son Roy but can't find him in the uk so again I assume he was born in Western Australia.

I don't see any travel records on Ancestry for Herbert, Bessie, or Alice (who must have gone with them as they were there by 1925).

The port for Perth is Fremantle, but the initials don't exactly tally, unless Bessie was recorded as Mrs Herbert Scarr -which was common practice in those times - and the daughter's second forename has been used and mistranscribed

Also in Balingup Cemetery are Clive's parents (Jacob and Editih) ; James Frederick Hawter, who died 20 Oct 1971 aged 30; and Frederick Arnold Hawter, died 6 Aug 1973 (can't make out his age from the photo of the gravestone.)

Frederick was a brother of Clive, according to the biography on Findagrave.
No relationship given for James.

"Miss I Scarr" on the 1924 travel record might be a mis-type of Miss J Scarr, as she seems to have been known as Jean.
