The only reason I've concentrated on the Brown/Woodrow couple is that Phyllis Brown (mmn Woodrow) has no middle name, and Sandra didn't mention a middle name.

But that may be a red herring.
I hope Sandra will tell us the names of her Phyllis's parents.

Sorry for delay in responding ,had our son turn up for a visit yesterday and was out this morning,phyllis died in sept 2007 her parents were Mary Woodrow and John henry brown , I am not sure if phyllis will be on 1939 on the address as would be under aged 21 regards sandra

Good - we guessed correctly.

The 1939 entry for John Henry and family was posted by me yesterday at 21:44, and again today by Alviegal..

Phyllis is likely to be one of the closed records.

Her age isn't a factor in whether or not she's listed - that only applies to Electoral Rolls..
It's a question of when she died and whether or not her death has been notified to the people who update the 1939 Register.

Thank you for your replies,I am just reading though them ,looks like on the 1911 living in 4 Graham Terrace as Mary was born in Norfolk and John in dormington on Bain ,I found that phyllis did marry in 1945 to surname Tom .?Cliffe ,but I cant find her in 1939 censor,a family member thinks she may have joined ATS ,if so I will have to go and look at military records ,but in 1939 she would be too young as only age 17,but as some records are closed on 1939 censor this may be why I cant find her.Thank you for all your help and research for me everyone ,I am very grateful for your help.regards sandra .

WW2 service records are generally not online.
If she had joined up, she will not be anywhere on the 1939 Register (which isn't a census).

But a closed record is the most likely scenario.

If you have her death cert, you can apply to have her record opened.
