some of the family trees have Daniel's siblings from1812 to 1819 no Mary or Ann, so is it Thomas Wimples Jeffs or just Thomas Jeffs

on my tree i have Thomas Jeffs born 1760 Hackney married to Mary Young with 3 children Ann born 1784, Thomas Wimple born 1786 and Mary born 1799
on other family trees they have Thomas/ Thomas Wimples married to Mary Ann Seabrook in 1807 with 5 children Sophia born 1810, Joseph born 1812, Daniel born 1814, Thomas Sayer born 1816 and Helen born 1819

i have got Thomas Wimples Jeffs born in 1786 Hackney and dying in 1855 Gundaroo, New South Wales
i think it was his father Thomas who died in 1804 and was born in 1760
but i still don't know if Thomas Jr married which Mary or did he marry twice but that doesn't make sense as the first Mary ( Nicholson) was still alive unless they got divorce

Jean, tell us what you know about your Daniel Jeffs. Who did he marry, what was his occupation, where and when did he die etc?

There's an Ancestry tree showing Thomas Wimples Jeffs born 1786 Hackney, but aged 30 on an Australian census of 1828 as Thomas Jeffs, having arrived as a convict 4 years earlier. So something wrong there with age.

It says he died in OZ 1855 - no proof shown
there is an online death record for a Thomas Jeffs who was aged 60. It's from a burial record I think, no other details than name and age.
Again age out compared to birth if same man!

You might have to stop at Daniel .............

There are several baptisms in the London area for Thomas Jeffs' who could have been marrying late 1700's/early1800's

they had 12 children

Shirley posted Daniel's baptism (based on the date given by Jean) , and those of two sisters, at the start of this thread - parents Thomas and Mary.

No middle name for either parent.

No parents' names on the marriage/banns record.

My feeling he was the Daniel born in 1791

His death gives his age as 69 in 1860

Ignore other trees unless they offer PROOF which you can verify.

You found out with your other request regarding Dorothy how easily one can pick up on wrong info and take it as fact

As there don't seem to be any documents online showing Daniel's mother's maiden name, I fear you'll never know who his mother was.

We all come to dead ends at some point and have to accept that we can't go further.
