My own fault for confusions since I use/have used too many websites "more haste less speed" I first used Genes then added Ancestry plus others. Much of Ancestry lists "easy to find" info.
I am endeavouring to document the correct info that I have to paper, also adding it to my Legacy file.
Will keep trying.
If there are no objections I plan to share the U.S Arthur info with my cousin in Maryland.

I don't know which website you use for research, but there's a tree on Ancestry which suggests that John Arthur was born c1768 in Blockley, parents George Arthur and Anne Buggin.

Ancestry trees are notoriously unreliable, so you would have to do some very careful checking before accepting this as in any way accurate.

I think you would find it helpful to compile an accurate family tree, to which you can refer, to avoid getting confused about the generations.

You mean Henry Arthur, baptised 1828 . The 1801 baptism was his father John.

Yes, he had a brother Charles, born and died 1826, Bourton on the Hill , parents John and Sarah.
Also Mary 1831 (who is on the 1851 census with Henry and their parents, already posted) - and William 1834-37.

Re Henry's grandparents, John and Elizabeth, such old records give very little helpful information.
Unfortunately, you may never know any more about them.

I had hoped to be in a retirement apartment by now which would provide time for my tree and my wife would benefit from their activities. To try to contact someone else with a shared name, go to ‘search’ at the top right. From the dropdown, select ‘search all member trees’. Enter the ancestor’s name and birth year (if known) and when you find the relevant one, click on ‘find out more’ against the tree owner’s name. Send a message and hope that the person is able/willing to reply
