Oh dear I have hit a wall! I sent off for the record of my Granmother(Georgiena Jowesy 1895)with the record number - they asked for parents name and I said fathers name James (which is on her mar cert) and they have emailed me to say they can't send it to me as the fathers name on the cert was not James!? how can I find out her father/mothers name ? she was in an orphanage in the 1901 census and I can't find any other record! Any help welcome |

Lyn ...... ..... send off for the certificate without the father's name! If you are certain that this is the right Georgiana, then you will hopefully find out what her father's name was. |
