Ok James A Browning was born 1924 dec QTR in Southwark MMN Pickett He was put into the Shirley Oaks Childrens home in around the 1930 area maybe just after From then we have no information on him. LMA hold a file from the home on him but will not disclose me the information. I have been searching marriages from 1954 plus or minus 10 in the first entry i found the correct james will be around 20/21 and so forth. |

OK, I understand your problem better now. I guess the bottom line is - how badly do you want the information? You could order a marriage cert specifying groom's age within a span that would fit with 1924 birth, or specifying father's name to match that on birth cert I suppose. You have 3 possibles. If they are all wrong it will cost you £3 x 3 checks so that's maximum £9, or of course £6 for two wrong checked certs and £7 for the right one which will give you more clues. nell |

You wont see anything different on 1837 - it is the same as the complete images on Ancestry (which is free) |

Alexandra 1837online is the GRO index to births, marrriages and deaths. So are the complete images on ancestry. Freebmd are transcribed images, also available on ancestry. As I said before, you can only get more information than is in the index by buying the certificate. nell |
