Thanks for the kind offer Jo. If you could ask if they have any info in the 1881 census. I have been trying to find Arthur H Jones. He is not at home with the family and thought he might be at school. In 1881 ther is an Arthur Jones at Taplow Grammer School, born London/Middx in Taplow. Earlier I found an A Jones in Taplow in what appears to be a school, lots of children and masters but the only address for that was Cottage Taplow, but lots of them, couldnt be just one cottage. If you could find out if there is any further details and parents it would be most helpful. My Arthur was born in 1869 in Westminster, fathers name was Henry THomas Jones. If this would take more time than you have available don't worry, but thanks for the offer. Many thanks, Jean

Hi Jo This is just at the right time. Would you try and find a baptism please Haddenham Thomas Smith b around 1811. I am trying to find his parents to tie him up with another connection I have made. If there are any siblings too that would be an enormous help. Many thanks Diane ps apparently Haddenham only ever has 2 Smith families at any one time so there won't be millions. I wouldn't ask if it was common there. A bit of an update. I have managed to find Thomas baptism, but there is another question now. No other siblings appear to be baptised up to 1824?? in Haddenham. A prisoner database has one of his sons down as a baptist?? I'm wondering if that may be why. Could you possibly please look in the RO and let me know if there are Baptist records there. Many thanks Diane

Hi Jo Thank you for your kind offer I am looking for the marriage of James Pike and Sarah, probably around 1815 - they had a child in 1818 but not sure if it was their first. Their children were born in Langley Marish, but apparently the village of Colnbrook is not far away so maybe it will be there if not In Langley Marish! Once again thank you for your help Have a good day Alice

Mad Alice No marriage James Pike and Sarah in Langley Marsh. Colnbrook did not record any marriages before 1853. According to Genuki it was a part of Langley Marsh and Iver prior to that. The first child I could find baptised in Langley Marsh was Catherine 7/6/1818. Jo
