They're an interesting bunch! Seem quite poor and then Walter makes a bit of money and by 1901 they're in a plush new house with a servant (where my grandad was born).

Yes. She's with her son Walter (my g grandfather) in Leicester in 1871 onwards.

If it's not a pain, could you perhaps see if you can find George in 1851 and/or 1861 please? I guess he'll be in Brum or part of Shropshire. Thanks (and apologies for the request!).

I haven't got round to ordering certificates for her at the moment. Just become aware of her and was trying to find out what I could. She, I think, married a George Cadwallader (b c1843 in Ludlow) who died in 1869 in Leicester. She didn't seem to have much luck.....

Do you have her marriage cert? If so what does it record under fathers name and occupation?
