Hi Kate Could you please look on 1861 census for my Bishop family my 3x ggrandmother was Isabella Bishop her father was john and mother I think was Barbara Isabella married Antonio Rossini in 1843 Glasgow,Isabella and Antonio were both born in Glasgow. Also if you have the time my 2xggrandmother Jessie[janet] Burns was b 1859 Girvan Ayre but was brought up in glasgow her father was John Burns and Margaret Smith I cant seem to get any further back with these families so any help would really be appreciated. Hi Kate Could you please look for a William Muirsmith b1861 in Stirling. either birth or 1881 census. Cant see him on LDS. This is for a man in his 70's I know, who has an old church window from a church in Edinburgh. The family had the window done in memery of their parents ( his grandparents) On the window it has in memory of William Muirsmith 1861-1933. and wife Hester 1870-1922. she was born on a ship someplace. He got the window back when the church was made into a house. I told him I would have a look thinking there would be something on LDS or even on this site. but there is no surname Muirsmith. thanks for the offer Marion

Hi Kate, Could you look for John Dunsmore b.1860 Irvine on 1881 census. Expect him still to be in Ayrshire.His father was Allan Dunsmore, but I know he died before 1883 so don't know who John will be living with.

Hello Kate........ I hope you can help... I have MARGARET WOOD & WILLIAM PRETSEL marriage @ Dalkeith 22/12/1849. I have found all of their 11 children. I have them on the 1861 cencus @ Dalkeith. (from cencus rough D.O.B & place for Margaret is how I GOT her parents & Siblings). WILLIAM PRETSEL works out to be born abt 1822@ Temple... I have hunted high and low for him in Temple...but nothing!! (possibly not Temple?) CONFUSING!!! MARGARET & WILLIAM just seem to dissapear.... I can find no death for either of them at all???
