Sorry Charlie i called you Reg haaaaaaaaa. I had someone check the 1841 for a Charles Powell b c 1832 they could not find one that age, in fact no Powells in Shoreham at all. I discovered one in Ticehurst with a brother named Edmund.. 1851 Welches Ticehurst Head Thomas Powell age 63 Farmer 40 Acres employing 2 men b Ticehurst. Wife Mary Ann age 56 b Ticehurst. Son Charles age 24 Farmers son employed on Farm Son Edmund age 20 Farm Labourer Son Horatio age 13 Scolar James Powell age 44 um House Servant b Ticehurst Fanny ??? age 17 Lodger Washer Woman b Ticehurst. Charles was consistant with his birth place on all other census's. I need to check out this other Charles and see where he gets to just to illiminate him. Colette |
