There are loads of richard foot deaths, just none in the appropriate place, that i can see anyway

Jeanette could you possibly be able to send me the image please? the last 4 were foot's, but no father was on the birth certificates, but on the back of the youngests - Elsie it has the name Richard Painter Foot written and on her marriage certificate it states Richard Painter foot as the father - I was wondering if this was the same person as Richard Erasmus Foot, or maybe a relative?

were the last 4 know as Foot or something else?

they must be recorded somewhere, I thought that the port had to mark them down on a seperate sheet if they were going to be away at sea at the time of the census? It's a pain not being able to find them

Not in my cases, I have never had 'Husband at sea' ever, the wife is always 'wife' or mariners wife'

Richard and his wife Elizabeth would have been in Hull - all the family were from the area adn they never moved away. The children they had together between 1879 and 1887 were: Fanny, William, Elizabeth, James, Winifred. Elizabeth then went on to have Ricahrd, Leah, Emily nad Elsie between 1894 and 1901. Richards parents were also from Hull.

My ancestors came from there too and most of them were always away at sea on the night of Cenus, 'damn nuisance'. What were his parents names? 1861???
