Hi nell I've just got back from work, sorry. I'm not sure thats the right Daniel in 1871 because I thought Daniel was born in 1852? His wife in 1859, and children 1879 and 1880. Are there any other possibles in 1871, or on earlier census'?

Elaine.........sorry you're right it probably does say married for Daniel Gemma - I have no idea about what has happened to the rest of her family - This is where your 'leg work' starts - although I find it unlikely that they all died though.......... If you can't find a death for Susan thers's always the possibilty that she didn't die but remarried. other children may have married and now have different surnames Etc... Esta

Gemma you need to look through the BMD index ( freebmd.org ) for possibles deaths for the wife and children. ( I'm saying they have all died of course ) Look through the 1901 census index( free to search) to find possibles for the children who could be anywhere. 1901 daniel is a widow in the poorhouse !
