Please can anyone find the birth details of Ellen Morris born abt 1839-40 Bangor. Ellen maybe spelt differently Ellin

Have looked but could only find under Carnarvon but told should be Bangor

You could try looking on NorthWalesbmd........it's on ukbmd site. Access it by selecting any of the relevant counties Reg

Thanks have tried before but no luck although that was a while ago will take another look.

Tried North Wales BMD no luck. Ellen born Llandegai which comes under Bangor but cannot find her. Rand Bangor BMD just incase Llandegai came under Carnarvon in those years but they assure me it came under Bangor

Hi Betty no problem just glad of any help. Ellen was living in Llanllechid 1881 married name Midgley. Having get difficulty finding family. Father's name not on marriage certificate. Joseph was from Rochdale where they were married & my grandmother was born. She moved back to Wales when my grandmother was only about 3 years old.

Sorry should have said Joseph was Ellen's husband Joseph Midgley.

Hi Glyn, What were the childrens names, this one has two children with her, will know if this is the correct one if you know the names. This one calls herself, Ellen Morris in 1881 age 42 so born in 1939, could she have gone back to her maiden name and also called the childres surname Morris. Betty p.s. One other found but 1841 d.o.b

Would like to know not 100% sure of year, because she was older than Joseph tended to tell different age

Hi Betty Think I may have lead you along the wrong track. Have details of family on 1881 census. It's Ellen's parents I'm trying to find. Would love to find here on 1841 or 1851 census.

Have you also tried looking for the name spelt as Helen? Or Eleanor? Kate.

No I haven't. spelt Ellen on 1881 census & on mariage certificate
