Can I just remind people that you dont need both names to order a marriage cert if you have the GRO ref numbers. Only one name is mandatory on the online form. Margaret

William Henry Leng. Married Mar 1875 Bridlington 9d 454. And guess what cheaked the inmage on Ansestry Sarah Elizabeth Blythe Married Mar 1875 Bridlington 9d 454. I think it may be cracked!!! The images deffinatly say 454 on both the above

The image is clearly 454 for Leng, but it's atyped record, so the error could be in the transfer from the written record............ Reg

Oh, that Leng looks promising! You should check the images for both Sarah Blythe and William Leng to see if the page number has been transcribed wrong for one of them, it is easy to mistake a 1 for a 4 or vice versa on those images. Kate.

I saw on the 1871 there was a Sarah E Blythe, born 1850 in Langtoft and living in Bridlington. Parents names are John and Mary. Could this be her on the 1881? Chas.H. Hmm... that quarter should be complete for marriages, so he may be somewhere on FreeBMD with unreadable page number perhaps? Anyway, if you can give some details of when and where Sarah was born we may be able to find some possibles on the 1881 census and then see if we can find a groom... Kate.
