As you have his daughter's details, can you find her on 1881, which will give her birthplace............that would make searching less difficult. Rose

Rose, we have looked and found mary and sarah ann,that bit is sorted, from the same family I am now wanting Marys Father, David Davies, who's name I didnt know before I received Marriage certificate of Mary , I dont need anymore information on the line from mary and her daughter, its mary and her father going backwards that would be a help

Right.........so you have Mary's birth year as 1853 in your request, but in the info for 1891, it is 1858..........have you anything to confirm which of the years is correct? Rose

1901 census gives her age what looks like 43/or 46,,!! I'm guessing she lied on census' but gave correct age at marriage, (in a church) sorry, 1891 census gives her age as 33 1901 census is her, definately, so giving margins of 6 years!! would like to place her with father, ps, she couldnt read or write, as X marked the spot on marriage cert

tracey, just googled llanbeblig and got a site showing census for 1891 for this era not what you want but lots of info addresses for records office etc even photos of the local churchyard, and info on BMDs, have a look MOE! PS nudge nudge jess!
