MY GRANDFATHER ..JAMES HOLMES ...WAS MARRIED A SECOND TIME, I HAVE SOME INFO ON THAT. I NOW HEAR FROM MY SISTER HE WAS MARRIED BEFORE BUT WE HAVE NO LIVING RELLIES TO TELL US WHO SHE WAS, APPARENTLY THERE WERE CHILDREN............... hi l.l. it would have been in leeds yorkshire. dont know when can only guess some time before 1893 as that is when the second marrigae took place. sorry read your q. wrong , silly me!! he married mary elizabeth mc loughlin in 1893. my dad was one of the children from that union ..william holmes born 29 dec 1906

i think james jr may have been the 1st child born in 1898(to have lived) rumor has it a child died his name may have been john.

hi l.l. i dont think so..james and mary elizabeth were married in 1893...so those dates are too early. plus mary elizabeth is second wife.
