Find Ancestors

I finally got my nan's birth cert this morning... oh what a painful wait!
Anyhow, it seems that my great grandmother possibly married before. This is what I can make of it, maybe you might have a better idea.

It says "Eliza Gillham, late Ansley, formerly Dadson." under mothers name.
Father's name is John William Gillham.

My nan is Syvia Joan Gillham, born Jun 1927 Swanscombe, Kent.

Is it possibly to find any information from this? Been stuck on these rellies for 3 years and it's driving me nuts.

I don't have any middle names on the birth cert for Eliza, so i'm not 100% sure if she has one or not.

Have asked my mum, and she said my nan was the youngest. Apparently she had older sister's...

Sorry - I have to leave the computer for a while, but if your nan had that many older siblings then I would expect the second marriage of her parents to be fairly soon after the death of the first husband - so you would need to check marriages from 1916.

Wow, Andy that was fast.
I had tried searching for a marraige between Dadson and Gillham, and kept coming up blank! Now I know why, as she re-married possibly from her married name.

Kathleen, I'm not when these children were born, and from what marriage. Just these are names given to me, i'm not even sure of the accuracy of them.

On 1881 census Alfred's wife is Eliza.

Elizabeth Jarrett is a servant

To find the name of Eliza's mother, you probably need to look at 1881 census....free on two sites.
