I am certain it is her in 1881 because there is no rebecca ransom in 1871

just checked 1866-1920 and only two rebecca ranson's died one in 1884 aged 59 in sudbury and one aged 78 in 1890 in easingwold neither yours, so i think she might have lived longer then you think

What makes you so sure that Rebecca died at age 5?

There doesn't seem to be anything on the indexes to confirm this.

Think Mellie is right and possibly lived longer than you think,

i also found a marriage for a rebecca ranson to thomas w smith in 1920 in auckland, but there was only two marriages for rebecca ranson
and the other one was in 1876 which would of made her only 10, so if she did live longer (which i think she did) this could be her marriage

will you will have to find if this is the rebecca that got married and if it is her she would then died a different name, what you can do is on your tree matches put a call out to see if any one has her in there tree, if she did marry then her granchildren might be searching, so you will know if its the right one.
