Have you got a 'Full' birth cert? Or a 'Short' version? |

Have you considered applying for the birth cert under the name Galligan? |
|||

Only a short version of th birth cert does not say anything about his mother but i do know his mothers maiden name is Blackman |

A birth certificate is just a certified copy of an entry in the register so in theory they cannot be different. Either a mistake was made in the registry office when the copy was produced or the certificate that you have is actually not Peter's at all. What makes you think it is ie where did it come from? |

changing your name by deed pole dosent change your birth cert. you just get a change of name deed. |

The way to find the name of Mr Galligan is to buy the original birth cert........you have the necessary details, I believe. |
