<3 <3 <3 Happy Anniversary Mandy and Colin <3 <3 <3

Have a lovely day and the rose sounds lovely. So nice to remember your special day when you see it flowering.

Gwyn I'm pleased your feeling a bit better and managed the walk without stops it means you're on the mend. Hope you hear about the scan soon its horrid waiting. <3

Iv'e been up the post van with a little parcel and popped into Stu's but he was'nt up so came home. Its that fine rain here that gets everywhere and is most uncomfortabel.

Pc says its 14 degrees and mostly cloudy but it feels much colder than that and I was tempted to turn the heating on for half an hour but thought no its June and I am not doing that so put another layer on.

I think I may make some cakes and that will warm the kitchen up at least.

Enjoy your last day Anng are you staying at daughters any longer or comeing home tomorrow?

Where's our other Annx?

Afternoon All,

<3Happy Anniversary Mandy and Colin <3. I hope you enjoy the day and the rose sounds lovely and will be giving you anniversary flowers in years to come. :-) I hope yopur knee was ok when you were shopping. It makes you a bit careful doesn't it!

AnnG we would have enjoyed the Bronte visit. I seem to remember a tv prog about the family and remember Bramwell dying of TB. You must have been fearful in those times if you developed a cough. You've fitted in quite a lot of interesting trips despite a few rain showers, so it's back to daughter's and you are packing now. It sounded like a lovely meal last night.

I'm not keen on much Bingo either Vera and would get a bit bored, but some games would be ok. The plasters have come out again! He was doing the same, trimming off bits of branch and scraped the back of his hand on a cut edge on the shrub and of course no leather gloves on again! I looked at him and said 'I have no words!' and he said he thinks he's learned his lesson now. Watch this space! He's mortified now as my leg has an impressive bruise where he bashed it, two in fact with a smaller one lower down where he hit it with the bin the first time.

That's good you are improving Gwyn. I think when OH had his follow up scan they said they could still see some remaining infection, but as it was going his body would see the remainder off without needing more antibiotics. I think you can expect to tire more quickly for a few more weeks yet though so remember to get plenty of rest.

Mel, poor Stu probably lay in if he's not been well. Did you manage to get some more plants? I went to the garden centre the other sid of the village this moning once the rain eased. It was taken over by the big garden centre just down the road a few years ago and gradually the prices have gone up to match it. They have also adopted the idea of making you walk twice as far to make sure you buy more (in theory anyway). I did find a couple of pots of those Cali......oa? There were three different coloured plants in a pot and £6 so reasonable and I'll put those in the front wall pots. I also got a few little white coloured trailling plants for a lime green pot too. I wanted some bright red Geraniums, but only tatty ones were left. I went to the little exit shed, was 6 feet away from the door but even that had been fenced off with a long aisle of raised planters to make you walk about another 100 feet and back along the other side to reach the till. On the way home I saw a Hare leap from the hedge onto the grass verge but his long legs soon had him leaping back and showing me the black at the back of his ears. I haven't seen one for years now so it was a nice surprise.

i can't remember whether I said the baby Magpies had fledged, but a few (3) have been back and sitting in the tree near their nest today while a parent has been fetching food for them. You'd think they'd follow their parents to see where the food comes from, maybe they will soon.

It’s rain, rain and more rain today. The app is telling me that it’s 16 degrees and feels like 11. It certainly doesn’t feel very warm - so much for flaming June.

Happy Anniversary Mandy and OH. Your rose sounds lovely. I hope you are having a relaxing day.

Good to hear you managed your walk more comfortably today Gwyn. You must be pleased to see some progress. Don’t be tempted to do too much.

I hope you’ve managed to save some of your strawberries Mel. Naughty squirrel, but you can’t blame him. I bet they smelled delicious.

Your week at Skipton seems to have gone quickly AnnG. Safe journey tomorrow. Will you be going back to daughter’s for a few days or is it straight back to yours?

~~~~~~~~~~~~ waves to Elizabeth. I hope you’ve had a contented day. Enjoy what’s left of it.
We went for our coffee meet this morning. It was a nice little group today, 4 ladies and 2 men. We shopped for some fresh veg and salad stuff before coming back home for a bit of lunch and this afternoon I’ve done a bit more tidying in the garage which doubles as a shed. When we had mice there they chewed anything that was chewable so there was plenty of.polystyrene, black plastic sacks etc all torn up and tatty in troughs and buckets and so on. We caught 5 mice and haven’t seen any more so I hope we’ve cleared them now. All the mess has now been tied up in a large bin bag and put in the general waste bin. Buckets and troughs have been cleaned and repacked with broken crocks and pieces of polystyrene to use in pots. I feel satisfied as I’ve been putting off doing it and now it’s done, even if it has left me with back ache.
Tomorrow I have another friend’s birthday lunch to go to. I need to wrap her present so that’s my next job and then it will be time to start getting our evening meal ready. A woman’s work is never done ;-)
Sorry, I missed you there Annx. What is your OH like? I think the next birthday present you buy him had better be a giant size pack of plasters. Lovely to see the hare. I don’t think I have seen one since we came to live in this house though we used to occasionally see them in the field behind our garden at our old place.
Mostly packed now for going home to my place tomorrow. No point going back to daughters when we are almost a quarter of the way home already.
Today we went to a huge centre called Saltaire. It is in what used to be a wooden mill started by Titus Salt late nineteenth century. Lots of rooms spreading through the mill on three floors. One room had antiques, one up market painting equipment and books, a huge room all full of good design China, glass cooking utensils cookery books etc. we saw so much I have trouble remembering. There was one display of IPad painting by Hock ey and I thought Ann would have liked that and a couple of really large mosaics I. Hallways.
Good to see you feeling better Gwyn hope that continues.
Vera, it feels good to complete a good clear out job, well done.
Mel Stu was obviously still feeling poorly if he was still in bed.
Ann your OH is a ,is ility I wonder how long before he forgets. You would have liked all the artist stuff.
We have got used to seeing a squirrel just outside the lodge feeding on a feeder, he or she hangs upside down for ages eating the seeds. But just now we had a deer just across the beck outside the window in the lounge. He or she stood there for ages.
Oh dear Annx not another scrape on his hand.you need to put the leather gloves with the sec's so he remembers to put them on when cutting down dangerous plants. Men just won't be told by the gentler sex will they? or they just choose to ignore us.
Well I have just put the rest of the strawberries in my shed and I picked up 12 hulls flating on the water in the tray. There were bits of lovely deep red strawbs left in pot and down the side of the soak tray. I had some lovely big ones in there but you can guess which it ate first and left me all the tiny ones.
Vera enjoy your friends birthday lunch tomorrow and I hope she likes er present.
Morning Anng and all,
Safe journey and I hope you don't get any holdups.
Its 12 degrees here at the mo and feels colder but the suns out and pc says to expect rain by 6pm.
Not sure if BIL is coming today will just have to wait and see.
Had the fox in the orchard again in the week which I am not happy about.
Morning all,
Very dull cloudy morning and I can see a few small puddles so we must have had a shower in the night .
Safe journey home Anng I hope the traffic is not to bad and there's no hold ups for you .
Oh no Mel you don't want that fox about ,he's eyeing up your girls .
Ann how's your leg hope the bruising is easing its such a pinch on the front of the leg and can take a while to heal .
Sounds as if you had a good tidy in the garage Vera so another job ticked off the list ,enjoy the birthday lunch today and I'm sure there will be cake and a cuppa after .
Not sure what we're doing today depends on the weather if its outdoor jobs or inside jobs but I'm sure we'll find something to do .
We had some quite heavy rain in the early hours again and it looks as though most of the day is going to be showering and drizzly. It’s not very warm either. When it’s as changeable as this it’s hard to know what to wear. I suppose the answer is layers.
Safe journey home AnnG. I hope it’s dry for you while you are travelling and there are no hold ups.
You’ll have to keep an eye on that fox Mel. He could be eying up your coopies.
Mandy, you know us well. Yes, it will be coffee and cakes after lunch at the house of one of the group though not the birthday girl’s house. I’d better go and sort out something to wear and then shower. My lift isn’t picking me up till 12.30 so I have plenty of time.
Enjoy your outing Vera and I hope the lunch and cake afterwards is good.
Just had rain but not for long but it makes everything wet so when I walk around I get soaked.
BIL is supposed to be coming today to fit a UV light on my pond filter as I can't seem to get rid of the green water. It means another lead across the decking and I shall take it out in the winter.
