Ancestry take that index from FreeBMD.....and if you look at the FreeBMD version, it would seem the transcriber couldn't read the details: Births Dec 1841 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hitchcock Edward Albert * 6 * The first * should say the district and the second * should say the page number. What you read was Ancestry's way of expressing the entry! Merry |

I also think that the district is Wallingford.The volume as given is VI, and the page is 2?? (could be 23? but impossible to read accurately). Christina |
