Elizabeth from google there are lists of jobs and Tindal comes under jobs in Ports & Docks but it dosen't tell you what the job entailed. Update..... Tindal Handles machinery in the workshop and helps its erection and dismantling. Georgina. |

Can anyone tell me what a 'tindal' is? Have a rellie whose occupation was tindal on the 1881 census. He was on a boat. Have googled it and nothing much there. The others on the census form were able seaman, ord seaman, etc. |
