If you are interested in the Peculiar People read Bernard Cornwell's new autobiography. He was adopted into this sect. Interesting from both the background to this sect and the adoption angles. Sheila

Just looked at the site. What the histories do not say is that Banyard was excommunicated by the PP after sending his wife to a doctor. D

The PP are now called the United Evangelical Churches. I came across the one in Stanway some years ago. I'm sure they would have a large amount of history. David

I have just learnt that some of my relatives joined the 'Peculiar People' of Essex. If you are researching Essex it will interest you. Go to Google - put in -Peculiar People Essex. for a detailed explanation. When you have read it go into the main site :- Which is www(.)burnham(.)org(.)uk it has a wealth of information on Essex.
