Jean,
friendship is all important.
I take people as I find them. Who they were born to and whatever faith they follow is irrelevant.

Jean, my goodness love, it makes no difference to me at all, who your
Ancestors were, it's you the person we know.
We all love you for your big heart, and friendly nature. You must have inherited some wonderful qualities from your father.
And I would have loved to have met your father. I bet he had some great tales that he told you as a child.
And your mother (and I will call her that as she raised you) must have been a lovely lady.
Please continue your friendship with us, as you are dear friend to us all,and we would miss you desperately.
I hope your back is better tomorrow, I bet it was that horse kicking you, that has started the pains of.
Have a peaceful night. Night Night god bless you. Speak to you tomorrow.

Well said Cath I agree with you totally, re our Jean.
I think you will need to go on a starvation diet tomorrow, to lose some of the calories you have eaten today. LOL
So pleased you had a good birthday.

Cath2010 Report 30 Jan 2011 20:11

Mo is right Jean. You always think of others and are friendly to us all.
You must have led an interesting life and I expect that is where your love of animals and horses in particular has come from. (((((hugs)))))

Cath,
I'm a Leeds Utd fan and an Exeter City fan. Glad you had a nice birthday. The food sounds nice but I haven't been to an Indian Restaurant for ages. I've had tikka masala from the supermarket.
Jean don't be daft. I'll miss you if you weren't on the thread. I hope your back gets better soon.

Jean - I instigated this subject & the intention was certainly not to upset or insult anyone else. I tried to summarise some events of my young days in Ireland in the 1950/60s based on my memories of the time.

From time to time, I hope to add further topics which may give readers a laugh (or a cry perhaps). As the others have said, stick with us Jean. It is a ‘Friendly Thread’ after all.

Pat, I am reading the Landry Family series. I made a mistake, I have got the five books in that particular series, I miscounted them.
Sorry I didn't answer your question earlier, but Jean threw me with her posting, and I wanted to put my point across to her. I know I am a bit long winded with my responses. LOL

PatriciaAnn Report 30 Jan 2011 20:31

Cath, I talked to my sister today and she thought it was amusing that Southampton lost. I think it's the same sort of rivalry between Exeter and Plymouth Argyle.

Yes I know Pat....what a mess we are in .

My uncle played for Plymouth Argyle ...His name is Paddy Blatchford ( PATRICK)

Goggle him and you'll see him play on some sort of News way back .

He's long gone now he was my mothers, brother.

Pat=Adam Faith was funny guy. he could be very serious but most of the times he use to laugh a lot he had a mans clothing shop in Hammersmith or Acton not sure which place now.he was small and liked the girls.
Mo I have four Viginia Andrews books my daughter brought them over to me last week. they are CELESTE / / BL;ACK CAT .// BROKEN FLOWER//
\SCATTERED LEAVES, she said they follow each other. I have not read them yet.
Maddie an email that was blank is it invisable writing. LOL?

Mo I am trying to diet it appears I am not eating enough well I dont know
where this flab has come from if that is the case,

Jean there is nothing wrong with Gypsies The cemetery in Willesden have a lot buried there a couple have the name of Cinderella some one on one of the other boards thought it was a joke she had found it on a census I told her where she could find two graves with that name on.

we are all different all over the world so being a Gypsy has nothing to do with friendship It is like saying I grew up in a poor family they worked hard for my sister and me and took care of my Gran that is my Fathers mother so no one should be friends with me.

My sister is a catholic I am Church of England but many of my friends are Catholic. what differents does it make. so long as you get on with each other.
so I am going to say Goodnight to all my friends on fiendly Thread.

Jean I meant to ask you how are the foals getting on ?
