Morning all,
another lovely sunny start down here.
Stephen, I am glad your friend knew who you were and you spent time sharing some memories and laughs. Hope you and Mrs Stephen are able to relax and enjoy your hols.
I,m not working today so, food shopping (with mum) and then hopefully a couple of hours doing nothing until its time to collect grandchildren from school.

Sorry to see that your close friend is so ill but a blessing that she isn't in pain. I'm pleased to see you could have a chat and a laugh with her, we have to be so brave at these times don't we? It's a different kind of brave to what you're used to!

I didn't get the chance to come on here yesterday because I went to see my aunt and didn't get round to putting the lappy on last night.

I'll go and read the thread now and catch up on what I missed.

Rita I went to Art School ,and did many drawings at one time , but now I have lapsed don't suppose I could draw like I used too, perhaps its why I went to draw on faces instead ..LOL :D

Got to take my stepmother th have her ears syringed this after noon hope she's been putting in the olive oil every day as doctor advised....hmm wait and see .

I'm glad It's Friday-Working 5 days on the trot is hard work.Off to the library to get some more books out and take some back!

Morning girls you do know it is friday thye 13th today. people might know that when they board the plane and Stephen has his bagpipes with him. I wonder if he is wearing his kilt. ?
Marilyn I didnt go to Art school the whole family have been able to draw my son Mike who has had his kidney removed was a Graphic artist till he change his career to becoming a Paramdic not becuase he wasnt any good at Art he was and still is. but he wanted to be a doctor when he was younger but we had no money. so he pass the sholarship and then went to Art College.

My Dad was the same did lovely drawings he started when he was 70 years old. my nephew in the states enters every year in the Gallery in London. I also had a cousin Stanley Lee who was a cartoonist (not thee Stanley Lee ) my sister also draws and paints .

Afternoon all.
Good grief, just coz I was not around last night, it has taken me ages to read all the postings.
I was asked to stand in for someone at darts last night. I had never played on a Thursday night before, but I will be from now on, as I have been asked to play for them on a regular basis.

I have updated the birthdays, to include Sally and Agatha, but Dermot has been very secretive about his, so I can't add him unfortunately.
Perhaps Dermot doesn't want to suffer the indignities, of us lot announcing his birthday on here, and thats a shame.
We are such a quiet lot, and would not consider embarassing anyone.........oops I lied about that.
Update on new great grandaughter.

We saw our lovely new baby last night. She has got jet black hair, that is at least one inch in length all over.
When my grandaughter bought her in, I said oh my god, what has she got in her hair. Grandaughter said it's from her birth, we are not allowed to wash it for at least six days.
And when I fed and changed her bottom, I asked for the baby wipes, and got told, no, we are not allowed to use them now, it's got to be tepid water to cleanse their botties.
Now as most of you know, my grandaughter was born in January, and things have changed since then.
Lilly was bathed the day after her birth, and baby wipes were used from day one.
How do they come up with these changes, in just over three months.
Flamin daft if you ask me, and young Gracie-Mai has got to put up with birth matter stuck to her hair for the next couple of days, how unheigenic is that, especially as the Fontinel is still wide open,and is open to infection.
Still who am I to argue with the powers that be, I just hope my grandaughter takes mine and her mums advice.

I've just come back form the library. i took eight books out :-)

Pauline I tried to do that alter my profile (man ) but got too nervous in case I made a mistake and could not put it right.? I have not got many photos of me on my films one in a swimsuit Lol and a few others. so I was not sure what to do ? I will wait till one of the family call and asked them to help me. I can do it while they tall me what I need to do
. so MR MAN will stay as he is. I wonder why GR put a mans photo up for male and female they could have put female for the women and Male for the men

Thats a good point Rita, they could have had grey female profiles, but I was thinking they could have had the symbols that are on public toilets of the little man or woman.

Oh Mo..... whatever next will they think of changing ? poor little mite having to live with muck in her hair ....

I can remember my daughter in law wiping all surfaces with antibacterial wipes frightened that her baby will catch germs , until I said wait until he crawling you will run out of those wipes ......I often remind her of her worry ,when he started to pick up the odd sweets from the floor and eat it along with anything else he could find on the floor ..LOL

Maddie you do sound very sober ....maybe too much talking not enough drinking !!

Took my Step mother to the doctors for her ears to be syringed , and she told me that her and my dad have been arguing lately ....oh dear I feel a divorce coming on ... ( 97 & 96) LOL
