I saw the archery as well Linda what a lovely win that was Gold in Archery.
I dont think we are doing too bad this year.
Our weather is good this morning. I am off later to get some shopping. only need little bits I have run out of.

I expect the others are laying in ? or out having a run Lol.

Strange we have not heard from lady or Liz or Elizabeth perhaps they think we are all NUTS. Lol

Lizz has been on threads as I have seen hers. so I dont know why she has not come back to ours perhaps it is the games maybe she will come back afterwards. even Yvonne is missing a lot. I hope she is alright?

This morning I went to Waitorse t get four items Milk/Butter/Sage/and Tea-bags. The tea-bags were on special (I have TP Tips) if i brought 160 instead of the 80 I usually buy. you got two boxes of 160 for £6 they are normally £4.44 so a box Brought two boxes I think they will last me a year Lol. now I have a small kitchen and thinking where can I store them.
I could not let a good buy like that go.
I know what will happen I will find a place to store them and forget where I stored them.

My warfarin blood test results have come back good I dont have to go again tilll November.

Back from the run.

The track is in such poor condition I went for a run outside in the country. Blimey, I could have got lost. But I was clever, I had a ball of wool around my waist, and when it ran out, I followed it back to the Hotel. Clever eh.

The swimmers are going down like ninepins. Doesnt say much does it. I hope there is nothing in the water in the pool. It could be en-masse.

Sack race today I think.

No I will not be wearing it on my Head. Not with the wonderful hair-do I have. Just of to practice my sack hopping.

Probably do the race and be back to report late tonight.

Maddie you made me feel tired after I had read what you have been
up to. I was tired before I read it now I feel worse.
I did not do any running this morning infact I have done nothing in that way of exercies .
I sat drinking tea and sewing went mad did some darning and some sewing all up to date now
I wonder what the others have been up too ? there are very quiet dont you think ?

Well got our repeat prescriptions and down to the pharmacy. They had everything for us. Good.
Then to the out of town shops, currys first.......................... useless. Then Tesco direct, all OK got a new microwave and a kettle too.
The microwave made odd but loud noises last night, when hubby opened it smokey and an electrical smell too. So out for the dust men Monday. The kettle has lost its filter and was getting rather scaled up too, so time for a new one.

Then hubby drove to Salisbury and on to Fordingbridge. We stopped at a favourite pub/ restaurant The Old Beams. We had a nice meal, I had crayfish and rocket salad to start, then pork chop, mash, spinach and apple gravy. I had appletise to drink. Really nice and less than £10 for the 2 courses.

Now we are back home for a nice cup of tea and a small sandwich later if we need it.

Oh I forgot had a nice walk along part of the River Avon chatted to a man who was fishing................ caught nothing much today he said but enjoyed being out in the fresh air in beautiful countryside.

Is there fishing in our competitions..................? Used to be pretty good when I went with my father as a child. Sure I could have caught more than that chap and won another gold!!!

Hi Pauline any day but Saturday as I have part 1 of my 12 hour Paediatric first aid course. Has to be done eh.

Still if you can find a competition for bandaging the fastest I will be in with a good chance !!

I honestly thought they said Jelly Belly I must have been thinking of Jelly babies Lol. anyway the upset tummy has affected quiet a lot of the swimmers.to-day.

I dont think conkers work with spiders. I have two conkers in the sitting-room and a small spider came running out from under the small tableI push the small foot stool out of the way as I had bare feet on the carpet and in doing so squoshed the poor little spider. he must have been looking for his mum.

Morning all, no-one about yet.

Got me ball of wool for my run again this morning. It is so hot and steamy here. OH says he cannot see the BT Tower this morning there is a fog hanging over north London. He says the air feels damp this morning, so Autumn is deffo on its way.

They are bringing a coach this morning to take me [and others] to the Taj Mahal. We are abseiling down that. Wow. Hope we all have clean shoes, or this famous monument will be covered in footprints. lol

Speak to you all again later, gotta run, then get glammed up for the coach ride, cannot let the side down.

Morning all
Up later today hubby left at 5:00, didn't feel like getting up then. Do have a wash on now. Ironing waiting to be done too. Quick vacuum before the family all come to dinner tonight. Friend coming for tea and a chat this afternoon.

Hope the fishing goes well today Maybe I can practice casting from the top of the Taj Mahal, before we all absail?

PS funnily enough Rita I picked up some conkers yesterday they are really beautiful and so tactile, pity they go wrinkly so quickly.

Hi Maddie and Linda being as you are the first one up this morning.

I must admit this weather is not the get up and go type I feel like pulling the duvrt over my head and staying there. it is very warm I must say that.

I had conkers given me. a friend went and collected a bag full , a few weeks ago.. they have shriveled a little wrinkled like me.
the rooms have them in the corners and when I go to vacume I jump thinking it is a small mouse.
