Hi Stephen, friendship means a lot to all of us, and we all care for one and other, you included you know, especially when you are late on parade.
I think we should all invade Jean at the hospital tomorrow night. Broomsticks at the ready for a 7.30 lift of. If this time is not convenient for everyone, we can change it.
I am sure Jean will sneak out and put the kettle on for us, other than that we can take a bottle( of milk) with us.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 13 Jan 2011 21:43

Mo,

What we really need is a few bottles of good Malt Whisky.

Feed that to the Staff.....get them all pie eyed.

Then we can nick Jean without them noticing.

Broomstick will be ready.

Can I bring 'Fluffy Paws' if he promises to behave ?

Evening All.

Hope we are all well and warm.

Bit more brighter today, although tiddling down now.

Rest up Jean, we want you fighting fit for March.

Yes Mo, I did enjoy my day out with Dave. He is a barmy as I am, and we spend most of our time laughing. He is a good kid, he used to go around to my Mum on his own when he first left school. I didnt know until she mentioned it. He used to turn up, they would chat, share fags {what?]. I know my Mum used to love him going around, cos he reminded her so much of my Dad. His actions, his easy way of talking.

Pauline hope Brent is feeling better with this mouth, and Marily hope her gums have healed too. Nothing worse than any sort of mouth complaint, cos you feel anything is amplified. You have more sensors in the mouth than any other. I'm talking drivel now, but you know what I mean.
Note to self. SHUT UP UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. lol

I too wear gogs for reading. I have two pairs. One metal framed for work, and an intelligent pair for home. I think they make me look like an owl. A bit like Michael Caine in the Ipcress File.

You can tell I am getting tired, wandering.

Night all.
Sweet dreams

Morning Jean, Shelly, Marilyn, Cath and Stephen
Wet Miserable and fed up with the weather!!! Still I do appreciate that so many others are worse off than me. Australia, Brazil and Shri Lanka to mention a few. I don't think anyone knows why the worlds weather is changing so much. What happened to global warming?
Rita I hope your son's operation goes really well and he will have a pleasant summer to build his strength up.
I have seen two of our missing people over on Facebook......... Yvonne and Sue.Lady does tend to disappear for a while and then pop in again.
Well more paperwork today. Don't think I'll be venturing out in the wet. The cough is slightly less but still annoying me.
Have a good day everyone At least it's warm

Morning Linda perhaps that is where are friends a now going to Facebook.

Terrible all the trouble these countries are having weatherwise one of the scientist said it could be Golbal warming but another said it has been happening for years but now it is brought to the publics notice more.

I was watching the programe about going to Australia to live this morning and they were going to show Brisbane but because of the devastation they have posponed that one till later.

Morning everyone.

Keep calm Jean, all good things come to those who wait. What can you get up to in a hospital bed? Dunno kidda, you tell us. lol

Very black here this morning, and wet, but not raining. Going out for a few hours, just for a blow.

I bought a load of stuff for the wild birds yesterday, and Kevin hung them out for me, so hoping to see a bit of wild life munching away.

I dont really like Facebook, although I know a few people on there, I worry about the kids on there and the cyber bullying. I prefer our little community on here.

Still coughing a bit, but hopefully less.

This thread sounds like a Sanatorium when we are in full flow.

See you all later

Rita, someone said those floods happen about every 30 years in Australia, but we're seeing more of it this time because people are recording it. It's shocking to watch the videos, so much devastation and so many lives lost.

All I know is that it's got something to do with cold air hitting warm air and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. I can't imagine what it must be like for the people who live there.

Pauline $(*-*)$

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 14 Jan 2011 10:43

Maddie make sure you get wrapped up when you go out, you've still got that cough.

Shelly, we haven't had any snow for a couple of days now, there's still a few piles of it in the car parks but that's all that's left now. It feel quite warm today. Are you going to make a gymnast out of Olly?

Mo, it made me laugh that your mam thought she had been made to drive a bus, poor soul must have been really upset about it. I know it's sad but sometimes you can't help but laugh. I hope she didn't think she'd crashed.

One of my aunts had dementia and when I went to the home to see her, she had no idea who I was. Every time I went she asked me who I was. On one occasion, an old lady of 94 sat next to me and told me she was frightened to go home because she'd just found out she was pregnant, and as she was single, her mother would kill her. She asked me if I'd go and break the news to her mother and try to calm her down. Obviously I agreed to do it and told her not to be frightened, but it was hard to keep a straight face.

Marilyn, maybe the hospital have an early appointment that Pete can have. Hope you can get an early appointment at the dentist.

Stephen, the best salesman in the world couldn't sell me a yacht (regardless of his accent or looks), I don't like the water.

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 14 Jan 2011 15:47

Hello folks.
Shelly are we going to see young Olly at the 2028 Olympics, all this excercise he's getting will turn him into a wonderful athlete.

Linda, our weather is the same as yours, wet and very windy. We had to walk up to town today, as our son has got our car for a few days. My lord,
we walked two step forwards and three back, it was exhausting, and we were glad to get home.
So the new cough linctus has helped a little, but not cleared it up completely. Perhaps it may need anti-biotics to clear the residue of it,if it has gone down onto your chest.

Maddie, good on yer for feeding the birds. The poor little things are finding it hard to find food at the moment.
My water feature in the garden, that the birds normally use as a bath, and drinking fountain, has been frozen on many a morning just recently. I just have to break the ice for them, and then they are quite happy to have a splash about.

Jean, will you please chill out,and relax. Your temperature is fluctuating
because you are getting yourself worked up.
It must have something to do with that good looking phlebotmist, who comes to take your blood each day.
Make sure you look out after 7.30 p.m tonight, you will see some mad so and so's flying round your way, looking for a secret entrance into your private room, led by Stephen, the head warlock of our friendly witches community. We have decided that you need cheering up, but also calming down,if thats possible, so keeep a look out for us mad hatters.
Keep smiling honey, we are all with you in spirit.

Oh Pauline you made me chuckle, about the pregnant 94 year old. But when people who are sufferers of dementia, get an idea into their heads,
you really do have to go along with them.
It was like the time that mum told me of the fight that had happened, between my Roly, and my brother. It was so real to her, that I had to tell her I would sort it out, and make them shake hands and become friends again. She actually remembered saying it to me, and asked if I had sorted it out.
I think the most upsetting thing for me, was seing her dressed in other peoples clothes.
She thought I had bought her new clothes, when in fact it was the nursing homes fault, for mixing up all the residents clothes, during washing.
All clothes had been marked with her names on them.
Unbeknown to her, I went mental at the carers, and from then on, bought all her clothing home and washed it myself.

Rita, you can still buy the steamers at B+Q's. We have had two of them over the years,a the first one was always being used by one or the other of our children, so we got another one,but never told the kids we had it, we kept it for our own personal use.lol

Cooeee Marilyn, it's not long now till you are home again is it.
Did you manage to make your dental appointment for when you get back.
It will be great if they can fit Pete in quicker for his op.
Enjoy the rest of your hols.

Stephen don't forget 7.30 tonight,we are of to visit Jean
Rita,Shelly, Pauline,Linda,Maddie,Yvonne,Pat, Cath,Sue, Lady , Dermot and all our friends, please feel free to join us on our little jaunt tonight.
