his first appointment tomorrow in birmingham, we dont know what to expect, does anyone know if they do chemo or radiotherapy or lazer beam in outpatient appointments or could this be to give him a date to come in, for those that dont know he has a rare penile cancer , wish him some luck please or a prayer thankyou xxxx |

some chemo sessions are done in a clinic on a day basis. When our daughter had Hodgkins 4 years ago she went every 2nd Friday to the Clinic In the Hospital that did all the chemo sessions and I sat with her as she was given the drugs, She had a cocktail of 4 so it took about 2 hours for her to have them given one after the other with the last one being drip fed in as this was the radioactive one. |

I used to take my sil to her chemo sessions. It can be quite a long, drawn out day and the hospital she went to was a very busy one anyway. Good luck to your step-dad, sending positive thoughts for him. x |

doc is hopefull the tumour hasnt spread, they will remove most off his penis in 2 weeks then reconstruct it with skin from his thigh , he will have his lymph nodes removed and a scan t5o see if it has spread, thankyou all of you for your thoughts xxxx |

He really is a brave man to allow all that to be done to him. Chemo 27yrs ago, I went in for the weekend and was back at work on the Monday. Wasnt eligible for sick pay, so had to do it in my time off. |
