Hi Mel
I have always used Flora Pro active spread, I don't like any other spreads or butter, while shopping I checked what the difference was between the other spreads and I can't see any difference, I was eating Optivita cereals & drinking pro active yogurts before my Gall op, stopped them when I took bad, So I have started them again Between taking spreads & liquids for Cholesterol and eating prunes & drinking prune juice every morning at breakfast to keep me going to the little girls room :-D :-D Breakfast has become a major event with all the items I have to consume, they are all lined up on the table.

Morning fair folks, Evening Kim,
That was a cracker Fiona, bought a smile to my face also.
As I have said I love Christmas, and all that goes with it. I have started getting little presents for Ros, even though I said the Diamond bracelet was for her birthday and Christmas. Now the COAT (can't believe she found it) I rang the store and told them to hide any they had lol lol :-D :-D :-D
Filthy morning here also, lights all on in the lounge. I might even put the heating on later. Not that it's cold but very dreary,
Hope you all liked the "Polar Bears" this morning. ;-) ;-) I sat watching NatGeo yesterday afternoon as I was on my own. They do get some wonderful programmes.
Apologies accepted THIS TIME Mandy <3 <3 <3
Has the decorator got much more to do Jane, and when's the carpet going down ??
You be careful up those steps Gill, we don't want any accidents..
All alone today, she is making more blankets for the children in Weedon with her friend Margaret. No idea when they will be home.
I think I will do Liver and onions, peas and mash tonight. Make a change from TURKEY !!

Nobody want's to talk to BILLY NO MATES then. So I had better talk to myself.!!!
Amazo# are on the ball right now. I ordered something yesterday and it's here today. Will have to see what else I want before "BLACK FRIDAY" Whatever that is ?? My problem will be keeping her prying eyes off of things.
My friend from "BEN" (motor trade benevolent fund) is calling 9th December to see me. They helped me out when I had my STROKE. and he calls a couple of times a year to see that everything is O.K. Such a nice caring person. We have become quite good friends over the years. His last visit he bought Ros one of her favourite Orchids.
Still a dank horrible afternoon. The council came round this morning cutting the verges. What a day to do them :-| :-| :-|
I seem to be getting more and more JUNK MAIL. I will have to do what I did a few years ago that is "RETURN TO SENDER GONE AWAY" and put it back in the post. That costs them money, and soon take me of the mailing list. :-D :-D :-D WICKED little B###er aren't I ??
Well it's time for a cuppa and a bit of NAT GEO. See you later.

Hello Billy no Mates.
I have been writing a few more cards. My list gets longer each year. I really should keep the list from one year to another but I m not that organized.
Loved the pola bears Frank.
Shall be starting my wreaths soon and the first one is always the church advent ring.

I do make a list each year of Xmas cards to send , but I try to cut it down as much as poss, as the postage has got SO expensive and we'd rather give the money to a favourite charity so I shall send more e cards this year and contribute the postage. Years and years ago we used to love getting lots of cards and would watch for the post, but fifty years along the line, if we're honest we're not that bothered anymore! I think for us so many people, from what was a very small family in the first place, have either died, live abroad or miles away that Xmas just isn't what it once was and has lost it's special sparkle.. Chicken in white sauce with rice for lunch today, so only a scratch meal for supper. Off to get Merlin in from his field as it is SO murky here today, then some more research for our Dutch friend, it's just amazing what you can turn up by posting on various appropriate threads and interesting too.

Evening everyone. Frank I just loved the Polar Bears and have watched it several times now.I brought a lump to my throat. One of those little cubs was a right little minx climbing on Mum all the time lol
The decorator will finish tomorrow :-D :-D.A day later than we thought .The carpet should have been here tomorrow but I had to change it ,so it is Monday.I think the bed arrives that day too :-S.The the Mattress on wednesday. So hopefully a week today we will be able to sleep in our new bedroom. But there will be no curtians :-S.They are supposed to be here on the 8th.It won't be a problem as we are not overlooked and of course it is dark nights and mornings. The decorator had a phone call from his wife just before he left.It wasn't very good news. She had just come back from the vets with one of their dogs and poor thing has a tumour in the bladder. It is an 18month old Labrador :-(
I have been busy doing this that and the other today.I went to the post office to get presents to Cape Town weighed. It is going to cost me £25 !!!!.The presents didn't cost much more than that.I just hope it gets there. I had another little parcel to post to Scotland to my Birth Cousin who's daughter has just had a little girl called Zara Rose...weighing 91b..15 oz eeeek!.She ended up having a C Section as baby got stuck.....I'm not surprised ,plus she was all the wrong way around.
It has been such a foggy day here.Really miserable. We had a very pleasant surprise in the post today.A large rebate from the Inland Revenue, and I mean large :-D :-D.I have been told not to get any grand ideas lol Our monthly electricity payments have been halved too.So another nice surprise.
I hope Gill isn't still doing the tree !!!
Must have a look in the oven and see what is happening.
Fiona I loved that poem :-D :-D

Evening All,
Yes it's been a filthy day here too and was foggy and dark when I said cheerio to my sister at a garden centre this afternoon. She'd made me a pretty Christmas bauble with tiny metal butterflies stuck all over it. She's also making some super cards, 3D effect with silouhettes of houses and they have real lights too!! She said they think her little grandson is showing signs of borderline autism. He hates his hands being messy and is very tidy (aged 2!!) and gets all het up if he can't put his things away just so, even if they want him to go to the park which he loves. He sounds a lot like my OH to me! It must be a worry to his parents though. I also showed her the picture of our neighbour in the magazine and she was amazed they are still living there and looking so well. I didn't know they were going to be in the magazine and yes they were still very recognisable. The chap had a big black moustache, still there but white now. :-)
Liz, I don't know what I've done to deserve so much generosity, but it sure isn't from ironing his clothes and getting him lots of nice dinners because I don't!!! Maybe he's wanting to pop to some extra footie matches over Christmas!! lol. ;-)
I'm another tich at 5 foot 2 ish........we could be the 7 dwarves couldn't we? I'm the shortest out of my siblings and parents. Still what is it they say, 'small but beautifully formed'. :-)
Fiona, almonds and walnuts and porridge may help too.
Cor, postage is getting eye watering isn't it!! Let's hope everything runs smoothly according to plan Jane and that you are soon back in your bedroom! You should sleep like tops then after managing with Hannah's bed. :-S See.... HMRC do 'giveth' as well as 'taketh away'. ;-) ;-) Methinks my crystal ball foresees more work on the house!
I keep a card list and just amend it if needs be. I have a copy saved on the pooter as well in case it gets mislaid. :-) My downfall is birthdays, so maybe a New Years resolution is a list of those. :-S
Frank when I kept getting loads of funeral plans I sarted sending them back noted 'deceased'. That put a stop to them being sent!! :-)

Back on here at last.............bl**dy pc kept jumping off the net and then thowing a wobbly. It was knocked out this morning by oh turning the lights on in the garage and it dos'nt like it.
Well Gill should be all lit up by now. I bet she's worn out, bless.
Ann they also say good things come in small parcels and I think that applies to us lot too, dn't you? The bauble sounds nice and I would love to see those crds that light up. Hope your sister's grandson is ok. Dos'nt Asperges (sp) make people want things all tidy too?
Jane not long till you get in that nice new bedroom and bed. How is the sleeping going?
Wrote more cards this afternoon. They never seem to come to an end and just as I think I have I think of someone else.
Been really miserable again today with some of that sticky rain here and there.
I have put the camera out tonight so I want to see who comes out of where. Oh says I have a rat under the original hog box but I have baited down there and it is going but there is still activity at the hole. I ws wondering if it was the very small hog.
I have seen a couple tonight and they are looking much bigger and must weigh in at a lb now.

Just popping in before I go off to bed for a read.
I am still getting these pains in my chest. I have been taking Gavist## and burping quite a lot, but still the pain remains. I think as I have had it since the weekend I had better ring the Drs. to see if he can give me something for it.
Ros was about 5ft 6 inch's but now down to 5ft 2 inch's. I put it down to me patting her on the head, saying what a good girl she is :-D :-D :-D My RAF days I was 5ft 11 1/2 inch's But not sure what I am now. Will have to get the tape out.
Not long now then Jane, I hope the mattress will be comfy !!!
See you all in the morning.

Am in bed now so just pooping in to say Night Night. Sleeping not too bad Mel ,but I think we are both desperate just to get back into a bigger bed now.I keep finding Chris's pillows creeping my way in the night and mine just hanging off the side :-S.So I have to give a big shove to shift his back over to his space. I feel like we are sleeping in a second hand shop what with all the clothes around and boxes of this and that.A suitcase is on Hannahs desk and that has all Chris's pants, socks and tops in that he is using.
No more work on the house Ann until the spring. Then it is the hall stairs and landing. That reminds me we must book the decorator tomorrow before he finishes.I just want a few months of normality :-D I'm fading now so will just read a couple of pages on my kindle .See you all tomorrow x

Hi folks
Well, tree didn't get done today, been sooo busy I had to go to the shops this morning and not being able to drive had to walk, luckily it's not far. I can actually drive but was in a car crash years ago so it put me off. I really should get back in the car but still a bit nervous.
I nipped in the post office to see what the last date for Christmas postage is to Australia thinking it was around 12th December to find that it's the 4th, good job I called in as there's only a week to go and I haven't got a present to send yet, I will have to go Christmas shopping soon.
I decided to do a bit of gardening after the shops, I've been looking at the jobs that needed doing for a while now but because the weather was to cold I've kept putting it off, so with it being a bit warmer today I decided to have a go but got carried away and ended up sorting the whole garden out, at least it's done now but took longer than I thought it would.
Then after that I had to get a bath as I was quite muddy then of course there was all the washing and when all that was done it was dinner time and I was so shattered that my daughter and I decided to do the tree tomorrow instead. I thought Sandra would of been disappointed but she was really good about it, bless her, it was her idea to do it tomorrow, I think she wanted to watch another Christmas film, which she did while I got dinner on.
I'm seeing my mum in the morning for an hour or two, so plan to do the tree after that before my hubby gets home from work (he's only on a 6 hour shift tomorrow instead of a 12) then hopefully he'll drive me to Tesc#s to do the main shop and by the time that's all done I should imagine it will be dinner time again. So another full packed day ahead. :-D
I loved the polar bears Frank, they were so cute and funny and the jokes you sent had me in fits of laughter.
Not long now Jane till your bedroom is finished I bet you can't wait.
It seems I'm the smallest out of all of us at 5ft 1 but I might have the longest hair, mine is down to my waist :-) My nickname is titch, no surprises there lol
I liked your poem Fiona
Hope your camera works okay for you Mel
Well, my youngest daughter has just emailed me so I'd better go and read it Bye for now ;-)

I hope you manage to sleep tonight with that pain Frank......good idea to speak to the doc tomorrow.
I think I will turn in too now. OH has just rung to say he is setting off home from a meeting.....in a pea souper of fog!! It's in the wilds as well with winding unlit narrow lanes.

Hello all,
Just a quickie. Wanted to say how much I enjoyed your little poem Fiona. Does your OH's store have a meeting every morning at the front of the store, where all associates have to perform a cheer? I used to work at Wal-Ma-t and that was what we were supposed to do every morning. I think Wal-Ma-t bought As-a didn't they? Frank, 'Black Friday' here is so-called because it is the day after Thanksgiving, which is always on a Thursday. With Thanksgiving over, people begin in earnest with their Christmas shopping. It's the busiest shopping day of the year and puts retailers in 'the black', as opposed to being in the red. There are loads of good buys out there, but you have to be able to shop at specific times to get the best buys. I placed an order on-line two nights ago and was able to get 'Black Friday' sale prices, also able to use a coupon I had received in the mail for 15% off, and then, for every $50 I spent, I received coupons for $15 store cash. I now have $45 to spend in their store during the first week in Dec. It just goes to show what a huge markup they must have.
Talking of postage ..... when George left (my bil) he had to leave some clothes behind because he didn't have room in his one suitcase, so I agreed to mail them on for him. There were two pairs of shoes - one pair were lightweight, some undies and a pair of trousers. When I filled the customs declaration out, I noted that the clothes were all used. (He brought them with him). Postage was about $65. When the parcel arrived in Wilts., George had a call from the PO, that he had to pay an extra 18 pound, which was for VAT and something else. That surely can't be legal. He would have already paid VAT when he bought them surely. It would have been cheaper for him to have had a second piece of luggage.
I'm up there around Magpie's height. I used to be almost 5'8", but am now 5'6". I have extremely tall sons - 6'2", 6'4" and 6'5 and a bit. Daughter is only 5'3". Hubby was 5'11".
Jane, I bet you and Chris will be overjoyed to have your new spacious bed. Are you going to buy a new little black number to slip into? ;-) ;-)

Not going to mum's this morning, she phoned to ask if I could go this afternoon instead so I've started to decorate the tree, could take a while but should look good when it's finished.
That's long hair Mel, does it take you hours to wash and dry like me. At least it keeps you warm in the winter, mine is like a scarf :-D

No Ruby, no liitle black number for me lol In fact these days I don't wear anything in bed.Mainly as I just get too hot.But Chris always moans if I have a nightie as he doesn't like the feel of the material...Well that is what he says ;-).But I always have one at the side of the bed to slip on if I wake in the night and go downstairs.
Gill you were a busy bee yesterday. How do you do it??.I imagine the tree must be well on the way to being done now. I think Fiona might be a little smaller than you Gill I keep thinking 4' 11'' but not too sure.
Oh the decorator is just packing up so that means he is finished :-D :-D.I better go . BBL

Hi to Gill, Yes Jane you are right, I am only 4' 11 3/4", I never forget the 3/4,
Well would you believe it , my live wire of a grandson Matteo is 2 year's old today. <3 <3 <3 I put up a Thomas the Tank Engine birthday streamer on the front porch window and when they arrived this morning, he would not come in the house , wanted to stand outside and point to it, kept shouting choo choo. :-D Victoria has a cold, so decided not to go to Curves but they stayed for an hour, then dropped me off in town on their way home.
Getting excited tonights the night OH & I go to the Glasgow Concert Hall to see Celtic woman :-D :-D :-D love this group, managed to stay a wake to see Ill Divo in October, so I better be wide awake to see Celtic woman,
Well I better go & tidy all Matteo's bricks up , I got him a drum for his birthday, likes it, but much prefers to bang on the metal kitchen pans.

Morning all and evening Kim,
Had a bit of sun but now it's cloudy.
Yes the camera worked but I hav'nt seen all the videos yet. There are rats under the hog box as I have looked at all the still pics so I shall keep baiting the bait box. Shall buy a different bait next time too as they get used to one kind.
Have to go shopping today as I don't want to go tomorrow as it will be busy and I don't like it when it's busy.
Oh is just washing my car down with the pressure washer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray. With it being flat on the back the catch to the boot gets very muddy round here with the small roads. I can only just reach the boot lid when it's open beings as I have duck disease.
Hope you get on well with the tree today Gill. No my hair dos'nt take too long to wash and dry as it is very fine hair and now getting a bit thin as each day I comb it loads comes out on the comb breaking off. I never brush it. I wash it over the bath as thats the only way I can do it. Can't stand it in the shower as I am never really sure if I have all the shampoo out.
He is just turning the car round to do the other side.
Another day nearer to the new bedroom then Jane if the decorater has finished.
Must away now and get ready to shop so be back later.
