I had mine removed nine years ago. My symptoms were weight gain and tiredness (tiredness is caused by carrying the extra weight), also because the thyroid supplies you with your energy and if it isn't working properly, you will tire. |

If the book I have mentioned is correct ( best to consult your own GP) it says that sometimes those who are having a problem conceiving, once their thyroid is sorted ( if they have the problem that is) they are able to conceive. |

Its also as well to read up on the internet too, there are certain foods that can inhibit the thyroid drugs, most of the brassica [ cabbage, brocolli etc ] |
