The fabric conditioner will not go through the dispenser

have cleaned tray and inside machine, cleaned filter, did a Dr Beckmann cleaner and the conditioner is still in the tray after a wash, even bought a new bottle of conditioner and tried that, any ideas anyone?

Hate my clothes not smelling of conditioner

I haven't got that make of machine, but I do remember a similar thing happening to mine.
In my case it was because the dispenser drawer was not fitted quite correctly and the 2 parts were too tightly placed over each other, so liquid couldn't get through to the wash.
Easy fixed by just loosening them a little.

Have you tried just water in the drawer, to make sure the 'system' is working OK?

Chris
I have always used conditioner in my washing and not had a problem until today

Gwyn
The water is going through the drawer ok, just can't understand why all of a sudden the conditioner bit has stopped working :(

Sorry, I wasn't clear there... Have you tried putting water in the compartment instead of conditioner.?

I think Kriss is saying what I mean !

We had a similar type of problem with our washing machine a few years back but it was already well out of its warrantly time. Friendly repair man told us not to worry, just to put the washing tablets, or whatever, straight in the drum - we have been doing this ever since with no probs and the machine is still going strong.

Ssshhhh!! (crosses fingers hurriedly)

I have this machine and have never had this problem. Drawer doesnt clean particularly well. Have you taken the drawer out again and then put it back? a minute difference in position can be a problem. Dont think the manual would help, but will look for mine if you think it would, not today though.

dont know about yours, but the hotpoint tray depends on the small siphon tube being absoloutely clear

do you put the conditioner in neat?or do you dilute it?
on many machines the capillary tubes block up and the machine doesnt recognise when the drum is up to its proper waterlevel and overfills

Why not ring the company or ask at an electrical store like comet or curry's etc

I didn't realise till a short while ago that fabric conditioner contains oils, not sure what I thought was in there but I don't use so much of it now and clothes are just as fresh smelling and nice to wear.

I just googled What is fabric conditioner made from? and there are lots of interesting answers, including instructions on how to make your own.
