I like the new tree. :-D

May I just suggest that you look at this thread and take a note of the date.

The old format being eulogised was not popular when it first appeared either. :-D

Well, I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't like the 'new improved' tree!

Like Matthew, above, I trialled the new version a few weeks ago and told GR it was terrible - but they don't seem to have listened.

I much preferred to be able to see the tree and the full personal details all at once on the good old version. I also find that the 'fly out' doesn't display more than a narrow band of information which means that to read a line I have to scroll across the fly out - making it virtually unuseable. I'm using Mozilla Firefox to run GR, so maybe that's a problem?

OK, so the old version did look a little 'tired' by today's website standards but at least it worked...

GR - if you read these posts - PLEASE let's have the option to use the old version until you have sorted all of these problems.

There are now guidelines on how to use the new format both on Announcements and on the Home Page under Activity Alert. Cx.

I have lost my photo's too. The one of myselt is still there but the other are lost in the ether.

Bring back the old tree. As Jan says IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT.

Why change a good format, one of the reasons I have stayed with Genes I liked the lay out of the tree.

Just found it, so they have replaced that option. We may well grow to like the new one but at least we have this option until the new one is fine tuned.
