Glad Fred was up to getting his dinner at the cafe today, he must be feeling sort of ok.

How lucky he is to have such good doctors etc.

Hope you get some rest when you can,

take care

Thought I was coming it a bit today.

The doctors will do home visits because Fred is in a wheelchair but I had to ring and ask them not to come today because he had gone out for his lunch.

Luckily they understand the situation and will even stay at the surgery late on a Wednesday so that Fred can go in and see them before he has his sausage sandwich.

Unfortunately they have to go to a meeting tomorrow so can't stay to see him even though he will be going in to get some new hearing aid batteries.

All things a good carer would do for him I know!

Spoke to the doctor this morning. Sodium is just a little low but she said that you can never be really sure if there is in infection with a catheter so she is prescribing yet more antibiotics.

Meanwhile, Fred has been to the café and found a good home for steak and kidney pudding with veg.

I slept nearly all night last night, I had to, totally crackered!

Glad I am not a liquorice fan then, I hate the stuff, and aniseed balls!

Hope Fred is better today he might start seeing flying sausages!

Yikes! That's scary stuff about the licorice.

OH loves the stuff.......... there must be six packets in his "goodies" stash.

I'm not a huge fan of the stuff, but I sometimes steal a few of his Allsorts.

Jammed logs certainly, are NOT desirable, Sharron..............

When on my long-stay in hospital, I regularly was given potassium - it was foul - used to put squash in it.

One day I asked if I could just eat another banana or two per day - was told I would need to eat a hundred to match one dose!

Sharron

Sharron Report 10 Mar 2014 13:25

I think his potassium will be alright because he eats bananas.

He usually has dried apricots for a log jam.
