Personally I would rather get an accumilated £5 off voucher & use it against my weekly shop rather than get say a 50p refund here & there!

I have had 3 weeks of compariable Match Points added to my card,eg,one week my comparible shopping was £1--13 more than it would have been elsewhere because of that I received 1130 points,I'm happy with that arrangement.

The other big Supermarkets are not close enough to me to make it worth my while to shop with them, Morrisons is my only choice!

Why is it that all the other supermarkets can match your purchases and give either an instant discount or a voucher for your next shop, yet Morrisons need you to have a card.

A CON

Last week I reached the 5000 target (& some over) which qualifies me for a £5 voucher, I also gained more points when I transferred the fuel points over to my M & M card which actually took the total number of points to OVER 10,000, that's another £5 off voucher.

The £10 will be allocated to me on my next visit to the store,they do not have to be used immediately so going to save mine against my weekly shop after New Year.

Not bad going in just a short space of time ( 6 weeks ) have to admit I did have some help from Morrisons as they sent me some points vouchers when they sent me my permanent card, it might take a bit longer to reach the target next time round?

It's was just the privacy intrusion I objected to.

I decided against having the card.
I will miss my usual Christmas Shopping deal this year though.

I have worked out other ways to have a £5 off my weeks shop, through Tesco and Farm Foods etc, and if I put the £5 away each time, it should work out the same.

After just 3 weeks using the new Match & More card I have reached 2240 points already (5000 points needed to get a £5 off voucher) & I have stuck to my £40 shop as usual.
When Morrisons sent me my permanent card & 2 key fob cards last week they also sent me 4 vouchers of varying points value which can be added during certain dates,the 1st one last week was for 1500 extra points.

Last weeks shopping receipt showed I "could" have purchased my shop for 34pence less had i gone elsewhere! (compariable shop check done at the checkout) & as a result I was given a further 340 points!

I also gained 180 points when hubby bought petrol.

Very happy with the new card etc, so far.

Fair enough, you choose to put your information out there on Social Media, but then there's this-

C&P'd from their Privacy Policy.. they will access......

I see the point about checking to see that payment cards are not stolen, but why do they want to know your financial status? :-S :-S :-S

If you sign up for it, you give them permission to access your personal data ;-)

When an online form asks for a phone number, we put in the correct number of Zeros.

There are some exceptions when we enter a correct landline number. There's no point adding the mobiles. By the time we realise it's not the Tv/radio and actually found the things, the call has ended!

Where does Data Protection figure in all this ? :-|

So Morrisons card is no different to any other loyalty card nor their website to any other.

No big surprises then.

I had the very same issue re the mobile phone number, not having a M phone I just put in the numbers 12345678910,& was able to proceed.
I emailed Morrisons suggesting that the M phone bit should be optional they said that they would not be changing it & just to do what I did re random numbers!!!

I am still using the temporary card given on the application form until the other card & key fobs arrive.

I sent the form off for Mum as unable to do it on the internet as a required field was for a mobile phone number which Mum does not have.

Also I left blank on the form was email addy and telephone number.

So waiting to see if they return it.

Mum wants to use the card and I would be using the key fob.

My OH shops there everyday, it's our corner shop really, so of course he has signed up for it

I too have taken advantage of the offers you mention. The store is only a short distance away from me too!

I shop at Morrisons have done so for years, I recently signed up to the new Match & More card, they will soon discover I am a very boring person!
I don't use a credit card, I don't have anything on credit, no DVLA info on me (I don't drive,never have) never had a Passport (don't do holidays) & no loans,never had a mobile phone..
I do read the odd magazine but don't buy from them(support my local newsagent)

I like their offers,& I do benefit from the £40 shop get £10 off after 3/4 weeks,& their Christmas offer as well,I always spend £40 so it's worth it to me, & with the new Match & More I have already gained 400 points from 2 weeks shopping.

We don't have much of a choice in supermarkets in my area, no Tesco or Aldi close enough so can't shop there, the local Asda store is small, most of the things on my weekly shopping list they don't stock!
In the main I only do my lottery in Asda,with an occassional purchase of a reduced item! no loyalty card.

I'm happy with our Morrisons,& not worried.

I shop a Tesco's - but don't have a 'loyalty' card.
In fact, I don't have a 'loyalty' card for any shop.

Like Sharron said, there's a lot to be said for shopping in Lidl or Aldi now! Or perhaps Farm Foods.

Maybe I allowed Tesco's have the same access to these things when I signed up for the Club Card years ago! I didn't have a computer then to check these things out so easily!
