If the intruder into your garden is spayed/neutered, they should just make loud noises at each other. |

My Desmond is winding down his life now. He is fourteen and was a stray but he spends most of his time asleep across my arm, his mostest favouritest place in the whole wide universe bar none. |

I've got 3 siblings, 2 boys - George and Mister, and a girl, Betty, all born here from a rescue cat I was assured had been neutered. I was going to keep Mother (a beautiful tabby, that I had neutered as soon as I could) and kittens (also neutered ASAP), but the mother became aggressive to the kittens, as they grew and started getting under my duvet and wetting my bed :-( |

How nice that Mr Tibbs has settled so well. You will have to get used to him following you about so he doesn't trip you, I guess you are out of the habit. |

My friend and his wife foster cats sometimes just short term and other times a bit longer. Five years ago she fostered a cat called Molly- Sue who was then aged between 12 and 15 years old. She belonged to an older lady who found herself no longer able to cope with Molly's care. Unfortunately due to her age nobody wanted to adopt Molly and give her a forever home so my friends wife who was fostering her at the time decided she would take Molly-Sue on permanently herself as she had none of her own at that time. Molly-Sue still loves the garden and lying the sun. They have now added one more cat permenantly to the family an 11 year old called Sweep who had a rough start and the two cats get on well. They still continue to foster other cats on a short term basis but have agreed not to take on another one permenantly. Thankfully Molly-Sue and Sweep are now used to odd occasional house guest. |

My sister re-homed a cat last year - he's about 5 and had a bad start in life. He had no fur on his tail or back half of his body, due to an untreated flea infection, and an infection in his paws. He was always after food and would wolf it down as if unsure he would get another meal. He is now sleek and glossy and sis has had to cut back on food as he's beginning to get pudgy! Looks like a different cat :-) |

Maybe Mirabelle picked out Mr Tibbs for you, knowing he would fit in well. I hope he gets you trained very soon and you enjoy each others company for a long time. |
