I would agree with you there. I only saw that one once.

I thought Crocodile Dundee 1 and 2 were both excellent, it was the third one I didn't like.

Sharron Report 25 Sep 2015 21:30

Sorry Bob,but if I choose not to watch something, I don't find it necessary to make a value judgement on it.

I thought both of the Crocodile Dundee films were fine pieces of escapism.

Spartacus - could never ever watch that again - OH and I had just got married when we saw that - we both exited the cinema crying and I didn't sleep for nights worrying about Jean Simmons after she held the baby up to touch Kirk's feet on the cross - bo hoo hoo :-( :-( :-( :-(

In the fifties I saw The Robe and loved it. Wonder if I'd enjoy it if I saw it now.

Shirley Valentine was a classic

also loved "The Full Monty" great comedy

The Sting is the only time I have ever seen a cinema audience get to it's feet and clap. Should that have been ...to their feet? Crocodile Dundee3 was absolute rubbish. We came out of the cinema after seeing Shirley Valentine, and immediately booked our first (of many) holiday to the Greek Islands.

A few more

The Princess Bride
Key Largo
Northwest Frontier ( I always watch through my fingers as they walk that bridge...even though I have seen it so many times ;-) )
Schindler's List
Some like it hot
Educating Rita

Musicals: Les Mis, Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar ( when it was on), Barnum ditto 12 plus times to that :-) Tbh I'd probably go and watch almost anything on stage at least once though, given the chance...I just love theatres in general :-)

A few years ago I used to work on the Rocky Horror Show and could watch it again and again (stage and film).
I also love Metropolis, Brief Encounter and Molière's Le Malade Imaginaire (true of a number of people today in some ways!).

movies boring ? but seriously
of course they are better in a cinema but most of these won't be coming to yr local multiplex anytime soon. Get a bigger screen.

None of these are boring and all have hidden depths.

I have watched Crocodile Dundee a few times but I wouldn't usually watch a film so have only ever seen a few.

Persephone

Persephone Report 25 Sep 2015 12:59

I think the film I have seen the most would be "Rear Window"

Seen "Dave" at least three times, all on TV.

But there are a lot I have seen more than once. Some I have enjoyed at the movies and then when I have gone to watch them on TV have not enjoyed them as much, not the same atmosphere.

I would like to see Cinema Paradiso again and Lars and the Real Girl.. but then there are many like that..

I read Cold Comfort farm once and saw it on TV twice, two different productions.

Maryanna Report 25 Sep 2015 10:15

The " kids " all insist on Elf being put on every Chrismas Eve.

Apart from that, I could watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid on endless loop.

The only film apart from that I have seen more than a dozen times is Titanic.

I also love Love Actually and Four Weedings and a funeral.

Not keen on musicals except Rocky Horror Show and Blues Brothers.

Have just realised I have " seen " Frozen more times than anything else put together, but I couldn't tell you anything about it apart from the characters ( because I have to play with them whenever the little one is about ) and there is a lot of snow,
it is just on their telly all the time.
