I think GR keep the price low for older memberships just to keep them. I've only been subbing up this last few years because it's so cheap. I wouldn't if it went into double figures.

I've been a member since January 2003 but paid 15 pounds something for standard membership last time. I have given up on trying to find out why as all I got was automated replies which never answered my question. :-(

Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

I was told, but I don't know how true it is, that Gr was run by people working from home now.

So DCT is the Parent Company. (What I would refer to as the Holding Company.) And is a private company.

The Parent has subsidiaries - and possibly some of those subsidiary companies also have subsidiaries. Thus DCT > FMP > GR?
But as long as GR is somewhere within that group of companies it is still controlled by DCT. So it has not been hived off to some third party.

Where GR actually 'sits' within the DCT Group is irrelevant - except maybe to the tax man. And GR might not have any employees...........
