Ercol, G-Plan, Kai Christiansen, Stag. - all well-known brands of a certain era. |

My mum and her second husband (the Fuhrer) only had Ercol furniture. |

Tried them all, Andysmum - most of those were real wood, (or pretended to be) not the trendy (this is obviously) formica!! :-D :-D |

Nothing about your Ercol sideboard Sharron ..... but I while ago I had a clear out of my kitchen cupboards and gave a lot of dated tea-sets to a local charity. Watching TV a while after I recognised the same very distinctive 80s pattern of one of the sets I had donated being used........... apparently TV companies do source rummage/jumble sales to acquire authentic pieces for their filming :-) |

We still use my parents light teak extending dining room table, and their set of stacking side tables :-D |

I can remember my parents' utility dining suite. They're still around, too. :-D |

Our sideboard, bought in a second-hand shop for £15, is Edwardian and recently became a proper antique!! I don't suppose it's worth much though. :-( |

I've had my ercol studio couch that long over 40 years that the exact same design although lighter wood, is back in fashion . |
