I don't know Jem, I just liked the colour of it when I was looking for a new image online. I agree with you though, it's very nice.

I was up too but unfortunately it was cloudy and misty on my side of London (East) and I didn't see a thing :-(. Such a pity because the previous evening had been so clear and the moon so bright that we even had moon shadows :-0

I saw in the MailOnLine last night that astronomers are now saying that a sudden very small white flash that some people saw in the upper left quadrant of the moon during the eclipse was a small meteor hitting the moon!

How lucky if you did see that.
