	Wonder if he was a qualified orthodontist as they like you to see an orthodontist in the NHS

	Fly, he was a good dentist. He used to get you in the chair then as he checked your mouth, he'd tell you jokes - even the children!

	Both ended up with braces anyway but it's all according how close to erupting the tooth is as the first dentition guides the permanent in via the root that's why it's eroded and the tooth becomes loose

	Try to watch it, Fly. Good episodes for an ex-Garda-turned-private eye. Some good storylines - I'm watching one about the infamous Magdalen Laundries.

	In Oz it was around 1978, Pat. The dentist had no compunction about removing them. In Newcastle and Durham they won't take healthy teeth out. I think they may make more money dealing with braces - well, that's the only reason I can think of for them not doing so.

	Dinner in front of the telly tonight girls. I am watching an old episode of Jack Taylor. I have begun to record Where the Heart is, from the first episode - to watch during autumn and winter. Has anyone seen it and, if so, is it any good? <3

	That's not right Joy my 2 both started having teeth out early because of overcrowding and son had several of his first dentition out to allow his permanent teeth to come through. We were in Chatham at the time so before November 1982

	Same here Pat. Both have good teeth and my son inherited my Dad's teeth - White, straight and lovely smile. He was lucky that our Oz dentist took one of his milk teeth out on both sides because the new teeth that were already coming through dropped right into place. If he'd been in the UK the dentist would have refused as they don't take sound teeth out. He'd have needed a brace no doubt cos the new ones would have had nowhere to drop into. Strange to put kids through brace-wearing I think when the remedy is so quick.
