I visited a deep mine once ... wenr two or three miles under the sea.

It took some good engineers to build the coal cutters etc and to maintain them.

Underground visit was fine and I found it interesting but I would not have liked to do it all the time.

Have plenty in my ancestors who were miners :-S brave men, my gt gt grandfather died aged 28 in a mining accident

The deep coal mine was safe as far as I could see; well supported, but not sure about the old tin mines - unless it was done up as a visitor attraction Von?
