Me too, Maggie! Love GP's fashion sense.

I let my light beige blond hair colouring grow out when my hair became thinner and thinner. It's always been fine and thin but started off dark mahogany colour, like a very dark brown conker but lots of red shining through! People would constantly remark on the colour when I was young. Now my son's hair is the same colour but he takes after his father in that his hair is thick and wavy, don't think he will go bald like my brother and uncles on Mum's side. My maternal great aunts used to crochet themselves little skullcaps as their hair thinned so much, I can picture them now, in their 80s.

As I found white hairs I used henna and different dark haircolours to disguise them but the more there were, the more my hair looked blonder so I started using blond colourants. Now I am mostly grey/white with the odd dark hair interspersed but I don''t mind. It's long so I can twist it up off my neck when I want. Every so often I chop some off the length and get o.h. to level it off across the back. Lately I have found lots more growth on the top so my parting isn't so obviously wide but it means I look a bit tufty lol Hopefully I won't have to crochet a skullcap yet lol

You'd have to rouge up your cheeks! :-D

I love Grayson Perry.

Yes, I have a bob, after twenty-years of lesbian haircuts, and I was only thinking how much it was like my hair when I was at primary.

I used to have a bow in it then and was toying with the idea of doing that again. People would think I was Grayson Perry!

Whilst as my sisters (after she'd cut my hair), my sister showed some photo's she'd found.
My hair now is rather like it was when I was 5, only slightly longer (jaw length) and silver! :-D

I have cut my own hair since lockdown - three times. I can't shape it though so I now have a short silver bob which I'm happy with.

If I put on a set of the kitchen lights behind me when I dance it looks blonde on the screen. :-D

Silver, LaGooner - Silver! :-D

Being silver has it's advantages.
You can say things the 'youff' wouldn't expect from a silver haired laydeeee - and they will give you a wide berth! Very handy in the current situation :-D

I am not going grey gracefully, but certainly disgracefully ;-) :-D :-D :-D

I've been silver (no-one had better call it 'grey' :-| ) for about 10 years.

I had jet black hair and an olive complexion. As my hair 'salt & peppered' my skin started to become lighter, and jet black with pale skin just looked silly, so I ended up dying my hair dark brown.
One day, I just thought s*d this, had my long hair cut, and bought some dye remover and silver hair dye.
I didn't like the 'salt & pepper look, but had no idea how silver my hair was, or whether the dye remover would totally remove the brown dye.
As my hair grew, I realised it was mainly silver - and I embrace it. :-)
