Actually, I must speak as I find...

NHS care locally has been good to myself and family. :-D

Think yourselves lucky…9.5 here…and for what :-|

**Ann** Report 22 Mar 2025 19:55

The NHS here has had it….totally inadequate for the population…the schools are falling apart and the highways are disgusting.

The gutters hedging roadsides are a disgrace…people are up in arms. They are now charging you for certain items you take to the tip.

Sorry everyone. Went off to watch the Formula 1 and then other things on telly so didn't come back until going to bed.

No, I'm not a gardener at all - that was hubby's domain. A year ago we had the whole garden dug out and block paved with wide paths (for the wheelchair), artificial grass and three very large raised planters which are waist high in the hope that hubby would be able to at least hold onto the raised beds and do a bit of hoeing, planting etc.

Unfortunately it was not to be. He only managed to get into the garden 3 times then it was too much for him.

As for the council they have just decided to issue brown bins for a fortnightly garden waste collection but you have to pay £40 for the bin. Luckily we won't have to do this because the firm who did the garden will come back twice a year to cut the beech hedge that we have and they take all the waste away with them.

Our bin men are really good and take the general waste every week and recycling every fortnight and garden waste every fortnight from April to October. They will always take extra bags if you need them to.

As in Gwyn's case, our local NHS has been really good to us and always there when needed. Seven replacement joints between me and hubby along with other operations and at the end for hubby we were given an "Oasis" suite where the whole family could stay - just a very big room through a couple of sets of doors so nice and quiet with room for Bob's bed and equipment, sofas and chairs and TV, a kitchenette and shower room and a fridge that already had milk, sandwiches etc. It made the end much better than it would have been in an ordinary ward.

Goodnight everyone.

Kath. x
