Lovely sunshine here, good to sit in the shade and just enjoy it, after spending a couple of days cut off from the world being poked and prodded in A&E.

They did so many blood tests, infusions etc and an X-ray trying to find what was wrong. Then this morning it was decided that I had pneumonia.
Didn't expect that, when we called into A and E on Saturday afternoon :-0
Released this morning, so 2 over-nighters.

Looking forward to a quiet night without the symphony of beeping machines and hoping the antibiotics soon work their magic.

Please drink plenty of fluids, such as barley water, herbal teabags and water
to flush the system and keep hydrated.

Try and get as much rest as you can. Sleep and rest are natures way
of promoting healing and cure.

Gwyn - hope you soon feel better and the antibiotics work their magic. As Elizabeth said, drink plenty of fluids. I got the same advice from the nurse this morning to help clear up the last of the chest infection I had as I still have the odd coughing fit.

I can sympathise about the noisy wards in hospital. We got very little sleep when we spent time in hospital last year with hubby. I don't know how anyone sleeps. If machines aren't beeping then someone will come in and wake you up to do some sort of check on you just as you fall asleep.

Kath, I was told by someone who had been in hospital that when she had just dropped off to sleep the nurse woke her up to give her a sleeping tablet :-0 :-0
