Morning everyone. :-D <3

It is persisting down here. :-(

Enough to put out anyone’s fire.

Haircut this arvo. I have had a tiny go at it myself because I got so sick of the front flopping around. :-0

Whatever you’re doing, enjoy the day everyone. :-D <3

Morning Joy and everyone :-) <3

Dry and very mild here with just enough breeze to stir a couple of leaves.

Not much sun yet, but I think it's on it's way.

Haircut for me too today.

When I check in at school, the machine in the entrance hall shows a rather windswept me lately, so a tidy cut would improve my identity photo ;-)

Morning Joy, Gwyn, Fly, Belle and latecomers :-) <3 :-) <3 :-) <3 :-) <3 :-) <3

Wet earlier this morning here but it is drying up and brightening up :-)

Didn't post yesterday as we had to spend most of the day trying to organise a rehab place for my sister in America (which isn't easy from here). She was taken into hospital after neighbours called the police because she has been confused lately and they saw her out and about at 2am last Friday. She's just been discharged from hospital last night into rehab but we don't know if it is temporary or she will need to move to somewhere permanent or whether she will get better and be able to go home.

Everything is so difficult when there are so many different people we have to talk to (hospital, police, social worker, rehab. centres) and we can't seem to get a reply from her bank so that we can try to sort out what her finances are. The time difference doesn't help.

Keeping our fingers crossed for a full recovery but not sure whether that will be a good thing or not as she could do with not living alone any more.

Evening everyone :-) <3

So sorry to hear about your sister, Kath and of your efforts to help her situation.
I hope all becomes clearer and you can get the correct help for her <3
It must be so difficult with distance and time to contend with.

Mild enough to walk round to my friends' this afternoon with no coat :-0 :-0

Evening all. <3 :-D

(Shades of Dixon of DG there!)

Kath, I hope your sister gets settled soon. <3

Fly !!! I take it you’re gallivanting again. :-D

Met with sis this morning and we tried Hotel Chocolat. Much hyped by some but no different from other coffee - plus only one behind the counter so doing everything. Still, the chat was good. Sis asked me what was going on at Fram Peth (not far from me). She lives in a village a few miles away but I had heard nothing - talk about living in a bubble! :-S

Evening everyone :-) <3

We've spoken to the rehab unit today. My sister is calm and settled up to now. We are leaving it a couple of days before we speak to her so she has time to adjust to being moved.

She is 88 and has always lived on her own with absolutely no relatives over there. She had a UTI which is being treated which may be the cause of the confusion she had but I think it may be the start of something more worrying. When we spoke to her yesterday before her move to rehab her speach sounded very slow so we don't know if it was just some sedation she had been given or if something else is going on. It is very worryin and we are finding it impossible to get hold of her bank. They just don't nswer the phone and if you try to get in touch online you need an account number before you can progress :-S

It's difficult to know how the future will pan out for her.

Thanks for all your thoughts.

Kath, I hope the situation is resolved soon as your sister seems quite isolated.

Does her bank have a welfare officer or similar?

Kath, have you thought about sending an email to the CEO of the bank.....they often have staff that will pick up emails and answer them :-) I've found if I haven't had much joy with an organisation this is the quickest way for them to react and help me :-)
