I did once read a book called something like 'How to be Incredibly Well Read in One Evening' It gave a brief synopsis of many of the classics - it actually encouraged me to read a few!!! |

I have read Wuthering Heights and have a copy of the book on my bookshelf to read again at some point. I started reading LOTR in 1995 and it has ever since sat on the bookcase with a book mark in about about three chapters in as I could not get into it (found the Hobbit a real chore to get through)- I did like the movies. I have never lied about reading a book, but have done a essay book report (got full marks too) for a book I had not finished at the time - The Day of the Triffids. I have to say I enjoy reading these days and get through an average four hundred page book in one or two weeks depending how entertaining/interesting I find it. At school I hated reading as I did not like being forced to read a book I did not particular like. Michelle |

I might lie about reading some books soon though Muffy lol, my OH is a fan of the Dune books and has been nagging me for years to read them. I started one last week and am only a couple of chapters into the first book and there is 14 in the series so far, I am really struggling to read it, they are not my cup of tea at all. Jackiexx |

I did actually lie once about reading a book - it was at school and it was my half term homework. Kept saying 'will read it tomorrow' and never got round to it. It was Lord Of The Flies by William Golding. So the night before I went back to school I got the film out from the local video shop and watched that instead of reading the book (naughty I know)Have to say I have actually now read it as it was one of the books in my book group lol xx |
