Well, he's home! The doc has said to his parents to watch him carefully over the next few days but the steroids seem to have worked their magic. He's chatting away about hospickle but he still looks very pale, according to my niece. Thanks for the good wishes. Gwynne

Bless him, as if he hasn't had enough to fight. I hope he will soon be well again. A good cry is better than holding in your feelings, don't think you are a wuss. Liz

Gwynne, don't feel a wuss for having a good cry. I'm not surprised at that at all. I have cried buckets over my little neice with her reflux problems, even though I knew she would be ok. Its jsut so scary at the time and you want to take it off them and suffer it yourself.

Hi Gwynne I'm so very sorry to hear this, what a worry for you all. Poor little chap. I have heard of it before, had a reaction to a virus myself, but fortunately was only bed-bound, didn't need hospital treatment. Sending lots of love, prayers and positive thoughts for your little nephew and all the family, Mandy xxx

Hi Gwynne Sorry to hear about the little one. Sending positive thoughts and prayers. I hope all goes well. The virus that has been going about is a particularly nasty one, had two doses of steroids myself so far. I have never had these before but they did start to work within days so hopefully little one will pick up soon Colin

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 22 Jan 2007 14:21

her three year old son was rushed to hospital blue lights flashing and sirens. Initially they thought he had a food allergy but now have decided he had a virus he was allergic to. The poor little mite is pumped full of steroids and very poorly but they are confident he will be OK. I've never heard of this before has anyone else? Gwynne
