My only true best friend was from the 1940.s we were at school together but lost touch when i left early in 1952. We made contact again via friends reunited in 2002 and it was if the last fifty years were but a blink. I live in Kent and she is in Wiltshire ,but its amazing how close we were in the years between without knowing. it. We are always talking on the phone now and have stayed with her & her hubby every year since for a week holiday Truly a very best friend Shirley

Hi Tinkle :):) The friend that comes into my life will find I am loyal, a good listener and believe most highly in confidentialty. A friend will find that I am willing to listen to what they have to say, I will not judge but believe that they should respect an opinion if I feel that I do not wish to know anymore or do not wish to become involved in a situation. I rarely bare my heart and soul to anyone, Trust on either sides rates most highly, break that trust and I walk away. I believe loyalty comes from within ourselves, be loyal to yourself and those that are loyal to you become closest friends. Colin :):)

I'm loyal .............. but I think I am a bit of a cr*p friend - not very good at keeping in touch if peeps don't bother to keep in touch with me............and that's most of em!!

I hope I have always been a loyal friend but have certainly met some that weren't and never feel quite the same about them afterwards, some I just scratched out of my address book and disregarded. Would never willingly let anyone down whether flesh or cyber friend. Liz

That's just like me Hayley, unforgiven but very quickly forgotten, not worth remembering to be honest. Now I'm sounding bitter, don't mean to. There are some genuinley lovely people on here who mean the world to me.......even you Hayley haha....and they are my friends for as long as they want to be.
