Rose, I'm glad your daughter told you so that you could do the responsable thing, which you have, so you are a good mother a bad one wouldn't have acted so quickly, all 3 of my sons had to wear glasses when they were younger, one of them had to have an op to straighten a squint, thankfully they don't have to wear them now, as they are so expensive. Rose Honest you are a good mum, at least you took her to an optician, some won't even bother! My son goes regular, cause if my problem had been picked when I was youger I wouldn't be wearing glasses now, it could have been contacts or even lazer instead, but my sight can not be rectified now. Thanks Clare Carol and PP my eldest son has been wearing specs since he was 3 but my daughter has only been saying about it for a week so i made a appoinment straight away , the optician said she has probably had it a while but just got used to it and now its starting to bother her . hopefully i should have the hospital oppointment through within about a month Rosex Ps you have all made me feel heaps better :-) |

I have had to wear specs since I was 11, couldn't see the board well at school. There weren't the lovely frames then - had awful old National Health ones, I hated them. |

rosie my oh didnt know he couldnt see properly until he was seventeen and they said he would have been like it since he was a child! not one person, family, school etc., had ever noticed!! he said the first time he could see properly it scared the living daylights out of him - he had spent all those years in a blur!!!!! |

its wobbly eyes muffy there is nothing that can be done , they have referred her to the hospital just to make sure everything is ok and she has got to wear glasses (not because of the nystagmus) but because her eyes need glasses so she picked some mauve little miss naughty ones bless her Rosex |
